Five Fold Ministers

The fivefold ministry was commissioned by Jesus and works within the local church, which is the training ground for ministry. These ministers -apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers- are coaches who equip and train God’s people in releasing His power for works of service. DOVE Canada recognizes and recommends the following fivefold ministers from our midst to mentor and release the believers in the Body of Christ.

 

Ed Peng

Ed has a Masters degree in Mathematics from the University of Waterloo. He has been married to Ginny for 42 yrs. They have 2 fine sons, Steve and Mike and 3 wonderful grandkids. Ed and Ginny (and others) founded New Life Covenant Community which eventually became a church now known as DOVE Christian Fellowship Kitchener.

Ed loves people. His calling as a Math teacher in the areas of Adult Education and tutoring has given Ed lots of open doors to see God’s grace in the marketplace. He has always had a heart for the common folk and their struggles. He is a natural spiritual father and is known for his servant’s heart. He enjoys meeting with people to encourage them in their walk with God.

Ed has operated in all of the 5-fold ministries but especially in the apostolic, prophetic and pastor/teacher. His heart is to see that all would learn what it means to know God and his son Jesus and that we would know who we are in Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit. To this end Ed utilizes media presentations of an “Overview of the Bible” supported by historical and archaeological evidence for the Biblical events. Also, in order to equip the church to walk by grace through faith as a lifestyle, Ed uses a new series “Grace Walk” which is an 8 week seminar. It has been given “rave reviews” and is changing lives. Ed will also talk to anyone who will dare to listen about “end times” and how he sees the days approaching.

Ed is an avid reader and also enjoys old movies, hanging out with family and friends and fishing. He will gladly teach you how to put a worm on the hook.

Ginny Peng

Ginny is a former registered nurse and is currently serving with her husband, Ed in his Apostolic ministry with DOVE Canada. In 1980 she helped to establish and lead New Life Covenant Community (where they still live). It eventually evolved into DOVE Kitchener by 1995. Ed and Ginny were the Sr. Elders of DCFK until 2005.

Ginny has a strong desire to see Canada reach her destiny as a nation under God. She is currently passionate about what it means to be God’s “sent ones” who engage the culture around them and offer biblical community to change the world. Ginny’s giftings are pastoral, prophetic, wisdom, discernment and encouragement. She loves to mentor and encourage leaders, to help churches grow and remain healthy and to encourage women to reach their destiny practically and spiritually. Ginny has taught on such topics as “Spiritual Parenting,”  “Raising Children in Ministry,”  “Releasing Women into their Destiny” and “Using Prayer and the Prophetic in Evangelism.”

She has been married to Ed for 42 yrs. and has 2 married sons, Steve (Rhonda) and Mike (Kate). She also has 3 amazing grandchildren. Ginny really enjoys sharing meals and lots of laughs with family and friends.

Jim Pesce

Jim has functioned as a church planter and business man for 14 yrs. He has also birthed Symbios  International an organization that enlists the Western world to help the widows and orphans of Kenya. Jim has a heart for the lost and the poor.

Jim has functioned apostolically and evangelistically with gifts of faith and leadership. He likes to teach and mentor in the areas of prayer, warfare, deliverance, evangelism, social action and church planting.

Jim has been married to Deb for 26 yrs. and they have 3 adult children, Nicole (22), Sam (20) and Jessica (18). Jim enjoys golf, fishing, hunting and most sports.

Brian Sauder  

Brian has a unique prophetic flavor to his teaching and leadership development skills.

As a young man in the college of Engineering at Penn State University, Brian yielded to God's call on his life. While still in college, Brian got involved in youth ministry and eventually moved into training leaders for campus groups and youth groups upon graduation. Since then he has been involved in leadership and leadership development on multiple levels of the church and community.

He has accumulated a wealth of ministry development tools and insights from two decades of personal leadership experience and developing leaders for the church and the marketplace. His knowledge of leadership development, finances, video production and youth ministry has allowed him to prepare many practical, training resources for the body of Christ. 

Along with founding the DCFI Church Planting and Leadership School, he produced a Video Correspondence School for distance learners, and developed Church Planting Clinics which formulate and trouble-shoot church planting strategies at weekend seminars. Much of his time is spent traveling internationally, teaching and training others in church planting.

An author, he co-wrote Youth Cells and Youth Ministry and also helped compile Helping You Build Cell Churches, a comprehensive training manual for pastors, cell leaders and church planters.

Brian's book Prosperity With a Purpose is available through House to House Publications. This book explains God's plan to finance the Great Commission.

He and his wife, Janet, have been married 20 years, have 5 children, and reside in Manheim, PA. He currently is the President of Manheim Central School District Board of Directors.
